Job Title : Mainframe Console and Batch ops Admin

Job Location : Pan India

Experience required : 6-8 years

Job Description:

• Knowledge acquisition from incumbent on Mainframe Service Delivery
• Documenting the AS-IS Processes and Procedures of Mainframe Operations Console and Batch
• Ticket ownership including creation and track till completion
• Follow SoP and deliver routine maintenance support
• Manage and Maintain Batch, Spool Management, Console Monitoring and Escalation Matrix
• Interface with stakeholders such as supporting hardware vendors and support teams
• Identify risk during transition and document mitigation plan in consultation with L2 teams
• Knowledge on Operations Commands
• Basic Knowledge on JCL, DB2, Datacom/AD, CICS, Tools others
• Experience in handling Tape Storage, Backup and Recovery
• Experience in Access Provision and Management
• Knowledge on TWS, or Scheduler and Batch Monitoring
• Monitor all batch flow processing and insure timely completion of endpoints/milestones. Identify delays or bottlenecks using vendor tools and resolve or escalate accordingly.
• Perform level 1 & level 2 support and resolution for all batch ABENDS.
• Track incoming & outgoing transmissions ensuring they meet deadlines, escalating to appropriate vendors and Data Center management when necessary.
• Monitor real time performance of the computing environment utilizing automated solutions, 3rd party monitoring software tools.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled system Shutdown and Start up (IPL) utilizing the Hardware Management Console (HMC); perform environmental verifications after IPL is complete.
• Perform and verify system configuration changes as specified
