Role & responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with real-time, streaming market data platforms (low-latency environments).
• Exposure to market data vendors.
• Sector-specific experience for real-time market data BA leadership is limited.
• Leadership exposureand its articulationfelt underwhelming, a gap amplified by limited sector experience.
• ITCH, FIX needed from Trading point of view not banking. BA who knows in building, maintaining Real time Market data System (Price, Exchange Rates, Quotes etc) Ultra low latency.
• They must know 3 concept:

1. Order book
2. Level 1 & 2 prices
3. Understanding of FIX and ITCH binary based feeds.

• Part of the Agile team and train to make sure were aligned with what work is being carried out.
• Must have direct management experience, expectation is 5+ years with a team
  • Outstanding candidates that have indirect management experience (small teams, PO role) will be considered but they will have to be truly outstanding.
• Detailed and in-depth knowledge of market data feeds, 8+ years of direct exposure to market data feeds, and the protocols that come with it is a must. I do not have time to train someone on how a market data feed works; Would expect the candidate to have explicit experience with:
  • Market data feeds that are disseminated by exchanges and
  • How the protocol works,
  • Differences between Multicast and TCP feeds;
  • Be able to fully explain the differences between Level 1 and level 2 data,
  • Understand how data would be parsed into a market data?s vendors software, normalized and then passed through to other systems for refinement before being delivered to clients.
  • I would like them to be able to explain the challenges that they have faced with different protocols and exchange markets.
• Has worked with another market data vendor (Refinitiv, Bloomberg, ICE, etc.) would be advantageous although not mandatory, though have some exposure to one of these, smaller vendors are of course considered.
• Would like someone who has exposure to SQL, scripting languages (e.g., Python), version control tools (e.g., Git), agile project tools (e.g., Jira), and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), though is less crucial than the above.

Preferred candidate profile

Working experience with Market Data vendor like Bloomberg, ICE Data Services, Refinitiv , Morningstar, will be a plus

Chennai, Siruseri or anyone who can relocate to Chennai Siruseri office.
