Role- Developer

Required Technical Skill Set -AS400 / RPGLE

Desired Experience Range- 4 to 10 years

Location of Requirement- Noida/Pune/Indore/Hyderabad (India)



Must-Have

  1. Minimum 2- 6 years of development industry experience with exposure to complete life cycle of development at least once on CLP/RPG/RPGLE on commercial applications.
  2. Extensive Knowledge of AS400 technology (RPGLE, CLLE, DB2), ILE which also means working knowledge of modular programming in ILE-RPG including Modules, Service Programs etc.
  3. Appreciation and knowledge of effort estimation, Unit Testing. Should be experienced in writing comprehensive Unit Test Cases / Plans. Able to execute & coordinate SIT & UAT with another vendor and Project Implementation
  4. Knowledge of trouble shooting during various phases of development
  5. Reasonable working experience of coding new (and changing) complex CL programs.
  6. Knowledge of DB2 concepts and associated methodologies.
  7. Should have good English communication and experience in multi culture work environment.

Good-to-Have

  1. Experience in Insurance domain (preferred in Life insurance domain)
  2. Can work as part of the larger team to ensure satisfactory deliveries.
  3. Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.
  4. Self-motivated, flexible, responsible and a desire for quality

Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role

  1. Development activities.
  2. Daily Status call and follow up actions.
  3. Helping users in requirement gathering (BRS preparation) and system analysis.
  4. User clarification with Business and explaining understanding to other teams in scope.
  5. Implementation of the product in production.
  6. Module leads for large teams.
  7. Responsible for delivery of assigned module/ components /phases of a project.
  8. Responsible for people Management, including goal setting and providing performance feedback.
  9. Responsible for Status reporting.
  10. Responsible for Knowledge transfer and arriving at SLAs for steady state.
  11. Technical problem-solving skills.
