Services description:

The supplier will perform Windows, ThinApp, MSIX and Citrix/WTS software packaging activities.

Support 3rd Level Incident and problem tickets for issues arising out of packaging. process.

Technical Tasks / Activities:

The suppliers responsibilities include:

• Building new packages for Windows platform in accordance with guidelines including ThinApp, Citrix/WTS, and MSIX.
• Refreshing existing packages or applications on Windows platform.
• Assisting SAP staff in continuously educating application owners about the need and requirements to use standard request system for new package requests.
• Assisting in projecting future volume, technology, and changes that could impact SAP?s systems and technical architecture.
• Submitting package request for Common Off the Shelf (COTS) software according to SAP guidelines and procedures.
• Perform application packaging, scripting, and automation to ensure smooth deployment and installation.
• Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure compatibility.
• Test and validate software packages to ensure they meet quality standards and function as intended.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software packaging and deployment.
• Maintain documentation for all packaged applications, including installation guides and troubleshooting procedures.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in application packaging and deployment.

SAP will provide:

• Software name and version to be packaged
• Source files
• License keys if required
• Any specific SAP settings to be taken into consideration

Pre-requisites:

Minimum 5 years of IT experience in the Application Packaging technical area.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience as a Software Application Packager or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of application packaging tools and techniques.
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, VBScript, or Batch.
• Familiarity with software deployment tools like Intune, SCCM, InstallShield, and Wise Package Studio.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Knowledge of Azure Active Directory.
