Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
Must-Have
- Perform vulnerability assessments using industry-standard tools (e.g., Qualys, Nessus,).
- Analyse scan results, prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk, and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks to automate patching and configuration management.
- Write and maintain scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and integration with security tools.
- Collaborate with system administrators, application teams, and network engineers to ensure timely remediation.
- Monitor compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Generate reports and dashboards for vulnerability metrics and remediation progress.
- Stay updated on emerging threats, CVEs, and security best practices.
Good-to-Have
- 5+ years of experience in vulnerability management or related cybersecurity roles.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (Qualys, Nessus etc).
- Good knowledge in CI/CD Pipeline
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Linux, Windows) and patch management.
- Knowledge of network security principles, CVSS scoring, and risk assessment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
